Marvel vs Capcom refers to an entire series of crossover combat games that are developed and distributed by Capcom. The series features characters from Capcom’s video game franchises. Some characters from comic book series published by marvel comics are also taken.

Marvel vs Capcom was created as a coin-operated arcade gaming series though later specific games of the series were developed for home consoles, personal computers, handhelds, etc.

More or less each of the games of this series incorporates a multiplayer mode where players can form teams of two or more characters and play against enemies. Players get to control one fighter in the game. They have to inflict damage and knock down their opponents.

There’s a newly added feature that allows players to switch out during matches. This enables team members to gain health and replenish themselves, thus emerging stronger and fighting back with more power. Marvel vs Capcom incorporates unique gameplay in the sense that it includes character assist mechanics and puts more focus on aerial combat.

When you play the game, the entire series features more than 100 playable characters for players. Each character is different, unique, and rare.

There are a few original characters too, which have been exclusively added to the games of this series like Norimaro from Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter, SonSon, AminGo, and Ruby Heart from Marvel vs Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes. Some other characters also make appearances though they aren’t playable.

Amazingly there are secret characters available in certain game series like Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter and Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super-Heroes. These secret characters are accessible when played by entering specific sequences of joystick movements on the” select character “screen.

The first three titles of the Marvel vs Capcom series that is X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, and Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super-Heroes was praised for their amazing gameplay style, mechanics, and graphical enhancements.

Also, the list of playable characters available in these titles is huge and the quality of Sprite animations is top notch. Besides being praised for its diversity of characters and presentation, Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds earned praise for simplifying the series’ combat mechanics and gaming controls.
